Keluargaku Keluarga Membaca program
Keluargaku Keluarga Membaca Program is a special initiative by the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Kelantan under the IQRA reading promotion framework, which was first introduced in 2021. When officially launched in March 2022, the program was joined by 571 families representing 45 State Legislative Constituencies in Kelantan.
This program is designed to o position the family institution as the mover and leader in cultivating reading as a primary family activity. Participants in this program are continuously assessed through several specific evaluation criteria, which include document reviews, field assessments, and direct judging. The evaluation covers all family life activities that focus on fostering a reading culture among every family member.
Among the benefits for families participating in this program are the opportunity to fostering a reading culture within the family, becoming a guide for the community to collaborate with the library in building a reading society, receiving free library membership, gaining access to reading materials, participation in library-organized activities, and the opportunity to receive awards such as ‘Anugerah Individu Bestari’, ‘Anugerah Keluarga Bestari’, ‘Anugerah Keluarga Sakinah’, ‘Anugerah Ikon Membaca Negeri Kelantan’ dan ‘Anugerah Ikon Keluarga Membaca Negeri Kelantan’.
Each award recipient will receive cash, a certificate, trophy and round cup.
